Spring Clean - Up Day
March 31, 2012

PROPERTY
Church property is looking for a member of Faith to step up and take on the role of Property Committee Chair. This is rewarding position with Faith Lutheran Church. There are many talented people at Faith willing to help build, repair and maintain our church. These members of the congregation only need a little direction in prioritizing the work to be done and keep an eye on the annual budget. With the help of the church treasurer and the monthly reports this is an easy task. Your primary responsibility will be to contact and coordinate members of our congregation to make repairs and see firsthand the rewards of your effort.

A list of repairs that are needing attention include replacing damaged ceiling tiles, now that the roof leaks have been repaired. Install and repair the insulation in the sacristy to help reduce our energy cost. Install new light bulbs in the church parking lot. Contact the general or subcontractor who built the church to obtain an estimate of repair to fix the round skylight windows in the sanctuary. This list is an ever changing list of tasks as many repairs have been made other things develop their importance and are added to the list.

A number of members at Faith have served as property chair and have the corporate knowledge to assist the new chair in that assignment.

Please prayerfully consider the position.

Put this March 31, 2012 on your calendar. Christmas was a great celebration which means we can look forward to Easter. As a tradition FLC conducts a spring cleanup prior to our Easter celebration. If you can operate a rack, shovel or have two hands we Church Property can use your help. We will be cleaning the inside and outside of the church, cleaning windows, spreading bark, vacuuming the church pews and picking up leaves. Be there for a fun day of socializing.

If you would like to know more about church property, have a suggestion or see the need for a repair please contact me, Alan Ferguson, formerly the Property Chair and now Council President.

PROPERTY COMMITTEE’S PURPOSE

Look for an email requesting assistance in making these repairs. If you would like to know more about church property, have a suggestion or see the need for a repair please contact me, Alan Ferguson, property chair.
