Women's Group
The women of Faith are an active group. We are called by God to assist in many
ways in His church. We are worship assistants, Sunday school teachers, choir
members, readers, musicians, nursery care providers, Council members, prayer
group participants, alter guild members, small group leaders and members, youth
advisors, and many, many more ways to serve God and each other. We are ordinary
women whom God has chosen to use in extraordinary ways.
The women of Faith participate in a variety of service and
social activities. All women attending Faith are welcome to join in any of our
events. Some of the activities we do include an annual retreat each
February, Lenten Prayer Partners, Ladies Day Out lunch and program in
May, school supply collection for the children of the ForKids, Inc. homeless
shelter, a shelter serving families from all over our nation with emergency,
temporary and permanent shelter, assisting with the youth sponsored yard sale in
the spring and fall, assisting with the Red Cross blood drive in spring and
fall, making communion bread, collecting toys for the children of the Suffolk
Homeless shelter at Christmas and collecting toiletries for the battered women’s
shelter.
We thank all congregational members and friends for their
continued support of our various ministries. We welcome all women to join us in
this fun, rewarding and important work.
